Why Peggy’s Cat Makes Me Sad
When Abe and Peggy moved in together and told her mother, Peggy said to her mother “Do you want me to be alone?” To which she replied, “If you’re lonely, get a cat.” Now Abe is gone, Ted is staying with his wife, and Pete is the same old same olde (though they made a point of throwing back to that relationship last episode), and what does Peggy have? A cat. Because she’s alone.
